What Should I Bring?

You should bring no more than two suitcases worth of personal items. The most important things to bring are a good attitude, honesty, open-mindedness and willingness. Everything else can be bought or provided when you get here... all jokes aside, bring clothing and personal toiletries items. If you don't have those, just bring yourself!

What Types of Insurance Do You Accept?

We are in-network with all five Virginia Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) under the ARTS program and can work with most other commercial insurance plans.

Which Addictions Do You Treat?

We treat all substance use disorders—including alcohol, opioids, marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, and others. Our approach targets the disease itself, transforming thinking and behavior, because the substance is only a symptom of deeper recovery needs.

How Long Is The Program?

Evolution House offers five phases of care within one residential program. Clients who progress successfully may remain up to 6 months, advancing through structured treatment toward full autonomy and sustained recovery.

Do you treat co-occurring mental health disorders?

Yes. All clients receive integrated dual-diagnosis treatment. Our QMHPs and CSACs coordinate with psychiatrists and community mental health partners when medication management or specialized therapy is needed.

Are visitors allowed?

Yes, during designated family visitation days (typically weekends in Phases 3–5). Family therapy and education sessions are also available to support recovery and rebuild relationships.

Do you have a women’s program?

Yes. Our gender-responsive Women’s Program (launched 2024) follows a trauma-informed approach with women-specific groups and peer support.
